All rabbits that come into the care of Quebec Rabbit Rescue are
spayed or neutered and health checked. Potential adopters are
thoroughly screened to ensure that the rabbits will be entering
safe and happy environments.
Every potential adopter must first download this application form, fill
it out and e-mail it back to us at info@secourslapinsquebec.org.
You will be contacted within a few days to discuss your
application. Please review our adoption contract (available online
soon), which you will be required to sign upon picking up your new
rabbit. Please note that all adopters must be approved before
visiting the rabbits.
Our adoption policies state that we do not adopt to children,
however we do adopt to families with children in which children may
aid parents in caring for the rabbit. Quebec Rabbit Rescue rabbits
are adopted out as house pets only and are not to be housed
outdoors. There will be no exceptions to either of
these strict policies.
Our adoption fees are $90 for a single rabbit and $150 for an
already bonded pair. All adoption fees are non-refundable, with
100% of the proceeds going towards the partial deferral of
spay/neuter and other medical costs of rabbits under the care of
Quebec Rabbit Rescue.
Each year too many rabbits are abandoned due to behavioural problems. To help prevent this tragedy, it is essential to develop a basic understanding of rabbit behaviour.
